Can I create macros?
i-scribe doesn't have macros functionality at this time. There are some work-arounds below.
At this stage, i-scribe is intentional to remain a transcription service, and therefore not insert information that wasn't present in the transcript. Therefore, we don't currently have a method to add in information that wasn't present in the transcript (or listed in the notes section). We are exploring the best way to implement a solution for this issue.
A couple of potential solutions:
Please note, for the solutions below, this is not software that we have developed or assessed. Therefore, the below solutions are not recommendations. But, rather, some options that some users have told us were helpful for them.
Please have your IT team review these solutions before implementing (especially from a security perspective).
- On Mac (you can create keyboard shortcuts):
- Go to "System Settings"
-
- Click "Keyboard"
- Go to "Text Input"
- Click "Text Replacements"
- Then you can add shortcuts to use across your Mac operating system. Just as an example, you could add the option that when "pco" is typed it could result in "Patient consent was obtained."
