How to get the name to work correctly? Why is Fix Name not working?

Some tips to get Fix Name to work consistently, and, what to do when it doesn't work.

How to use Fix Name:

  • Type the correct spelling of the name into the box and click "Fix Name"
  • For example:

Tips:

  • You need to "Generate" before "Fix Name" will have an effect
  • You may need to click "Fix Name" twice (particularly if you're using "Dictaphone Mode- Verbatim")

 

Why it doesn't work sometimes:

  • Dictaphone Mode - Verbatim can have issues because it's trying to give a more literal output from the transcript
  • There can be multiple spellings of one name in the transcript (this can particularly show up with Dictaphone Mode - Verbatim).
  • There can be multiple names in transcript, which can confuse the system.
  • The system can be unsure what "a name" is.


When it doesn't work:

Getting names to work correctly is a priority for us and we're working on new processes to improve this. However, sometimes it doesn't work and the names do need to be edited manually. 

As with all large language models there's necessary variation and we're continually improving our software.
